Dear Exhibitor
Re: Withdrawal of integrator role for Australia and New Zealand VPF Scheme
It is with regret that I write to advise that OMCS has not received the minimum screen numbers and other Stage 4 conditions precedent in our Virtual Print Fee Administration Agreement with you to support OMCS proceeding with the VPF administration program and commencing the business to act as an integrator on your behalf. The OMCS Board has therefore made the decision not to proceed with it. We are cognisant of other options available to the ICAA and the NZMPEA to set up an effective program with studios for their members and we are supportive of ICAA and the NZMPEA pursuing these. Accordingly, we hereby release you from your commitment to OMCS in respect of our Agreement.
We have informed each of the Hollywood Studios, ICAA and the NZMPEA of our decision.
OMCS has no issue with ICAA or the NZMPEA and/or their preferred integrator pursuing arrangements for the conversion of independent digital screens across Australia and New Zealand. We wish you all the best in achieving this aim and we thank you for providing OMCS with the opportunity to assist ICAA in this endeavour to date.
Yours sincerely,
David Whealy
